Three teams have one loss after Tuesday’s games in the Spencer Summer Basketball League. B&B Roofing is atop the standings at 4-1, followed closely by Affordable Auto Body and the Raiders, both with 3-1 records.
Thursday at Washington Park, Affordable rolled over Handimart 57-39 in the first game. Rhett Atkinson scored 30 and A.J. Cooper 15 for the winners, while Jason Bennett and Ron Bradley each had 11 for the losers.
B&B beat Speciality Graphics 44-27 in game two as Wes McKenzie tallied 14. Jackson Craddock and Chris Grether had six each for SG.
The nightcap saw Pizza Hut romp past Harper’s Rockin’ H Farm 73-38. Eddie Williams had 30 points, Zach Moore 19 and Bart Harper 17 for the winners. Harper’s got 13 from Doug Cottrell and 12 from Reese Johnson.
On Tuesday, B&B opened action with a narrow 44-41 decision over Pizza Hut. Mark Errickson’s 14 and Gabe Carey’s 12 paced the winners, with Willliams scoring 15 and Moore 12 for the losers.
Game two was a forfeit for the Raiders over Harper’s.
In the nightcap, Affordable racked up an easy 66-34 win over Speciality Graphics. Atkinson hit for 14, Colter Taylor 13, Fred Hammack 12 and Gary Mace 10 for Affordable. SG was led by Tyler Letourneau’s 11.
Play resumes today (Thursday) at the park court, with the first game tipping off at 6 p.m.
