The Raiders scored five times in the second inning of game one and then held off the Lumberjacks to take a 7-6 decision. Josh Jones struck out 12 to earn the win and Ryan Jarvis drove home a pair of runs.
Matt Brohard collected four RBIs and the Raiders (8-4) got solo homers from Ryan Jarvis and Tyler Starcher to win the nightcap, 9-6. Roane plated six runs in the fifth frame to keep the Blue Devils at bay and make a winner out of starting pitcher Ethan Batten.

Roane County won a close one and lost in a big way in splitting a home doubleheader Saturday.
The Raiders rode the left arm of Zach Reed to a 3-2 win in the opener. Reed, who improved to 5-0 on the year, tossed a three-hitter. He also had a pair of RBIs and teammate Josh Drake homered in the second inning.
The Hawks romped 17-0 in game two, thanks to a 15-run outburst in the third inning. Heath Goins, the first of four Raider pitchers, took the loss. Matt Brohard went 2-for-3 for Roane (9-5).

Two losses on Monday and Tuesday left Roane Countys baseball team with a 9-7 season mark.
The Raiders fell 10-1 at Wirt County on Monday as the Tigers enjoyed a six-run fourth inning outburst. Matt Brohard had two hits for Roane and Josh Jones took the mound defeat.
Monday at home, Herbert Hoover was a 10-2 winner. Josh Birthisel smacked a grand slam in the fourth inning off Ethan Batten to lead the Huskies. Josh Wine went 3-for-4 with two RBIs for the 9-7 Raiders.
