Ashli Knotts was perfect in the nightcap Friday as Roane County started its season by demolishing visiting Webster County in both ends of a softball doubleheader.
Knotts tossed three innings of perfect ball to help her team to a 19-0 romp. She was also the winning pitcher in a 15-0 game one rout.
Knotts, a junior, struck out six in her gem. Her showing in the three-inning opener wasnt too shabby either, as she allowed only one hit and one walk.
The Lady Raider offense collected 10 hits in the first game and took advantage of a whopping eight errors by the Highlanders. Knotts was 3-for-3 at the plate and teammates Cheyenne Hall, Kate Williams and Paige Garrett knocked in two runs apiece.
Knotts had three RBIs in the second contest to match the total for Lady Raiders Michele Carpenter and Allie Mills. Morgan Cottrell stole four bases for the winners.
