Home sweet home was just that for Roane County as the Raiders beat a pair of LKC South baseball rivals last week.

Roane (4-0) whipped Wirt County 10-3 last Wednesday and clobbered Calhoun County 12-2 in five innings Thursday.

The Raiders plated nine runs in the first inning and coasted past Wirt. Josh Wine and Jackson Craddock each went 2-for-3 for the winners, who got five strong innings on the mound by Ethan Batten.

Against Calhoun, the Raiders scored in every inning but the third. Three pitchers, including winning Alex Mace, combined to limit the Red Devils to five hits. Mace, Daniel Eisenberg and Josh Jones all knocked in two runs to pace the offense.

Roane also took the JV game, winning by a score of 10-1.
