Roane got by Herbert Hoover 40-36, Williamstown 43-28 and Wirt County 62-15 in a successful debut for new coach Wayne Jarvis.

The Raiders won 19 of the 21 matches that were contested below 145 pounds. Josh Fisher at 103, Brad Hickman at 112, Joe Maldonado at 119, Justin Fisher at 125 and Eric Jarvis at 140 each won all three of their bouts.

Roane also got 2-1 evenings from Cody Clarkson at 130, Sky Parrish at 135, D.J. Kennedy at 152, Mikol Schoolcraft at 215 and Caleb Greathouse at 285.

The next action for the Raiders will come this Friday and Saturday at the Jason Eades Memorial tournament in Point Pleasant.
