The Patriots were a 12-5 winner in game one and took the nightcap 9-6 in sending the Raiders to a 2-6 season record.
Losing hurler Josh Jones had a double and two RBIs in the first game and teammate Jared Reed added a pair of hits.
Jacob Hite took the mound loss in game two. Roane’s top hitter was Ethan Batten, who went 2-for-3 and knocked in a pair of runs.
Roane hosts Herbert Hoover today (Thursday) at 6 p.m. and will entertain Point Pleasant in a 1 p.m. doubleheader on Saturday. South is scheduled to come to Spencer on Tuesday for a 6 p.m. twinbill with the Raiders.
Wednesday’s scheduled game at South Charleston was called off because of wet field conditions.
