Starting soon, some stories published on The Times Record and Roane County Reporter Web site will not include the full version of each story.
While some stories will continue to be offered in their entirety in the online editions, others will be limited to the first few paragraphs.
Publisher David Hedges said the change was being made to continue providing value for print edition subscribers while still offering timely information for online readers.
Spencer Newspapers is also planning to make significant changes to its Web site in the coming months, offering some new and different content to online readers.
While those changes are still a few months away, Hedges said the updates should be appreciated by regular readers of the online version, as well as print readers who will want to see what they are missing.
Online readers who wish to subscribe to the print version may do so by contacting Spencer Newspapers at 304-927-2360 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays or by writing to Spencer Newspapers at 210 East Main St., Spencer WV 25276. The cost of a 12-month subscription is $34 for Roane County residents, $39 for subscribers elsewhere in West Virginia and $44 for out-of-state subscribers.
